Transcience.
This body of work comments on my cross-country move, a period of transcience and adaptation, by transforming the cardboard boxes typically used for packing into the objects and memories being left behind. I began this series with a series of paintings that transitioned into paper sculptures. By building small-scale sculptures, the viewer is able to glance into a frozen period of time as though they are viewing a relic of the past I cannot carry forward with me on my journey.
